Hobbywing Launches P65M Power System for Heavy-Lift Drones
This is a drone/UAV power system, squarely in the historically NOT-covered category (aircraft/drone electronics) despite the familiar Hobbywing brand. No relevance to crawlers, trail trucks, or any scale RC ground vehicle content the show covers. Falls into the 0-15 aircraft/heli/quad range and should score at the bottom given zero crossover appeal.
Evidence (1)
Hobbywing has introduced the P65M, a passenger-vehicle-grade power system for large UAVs, combining an ESC, motor, and carbon-fiber propeller. The system supports 335V/400V operation, dual redundant position sensors, black-box data logging, OTA firmware updates, and CAN/RS485 communication with wide flight-controller compatibility (ArduPilot and others). It delivers up to 138kg max thrust and is aimed at heavy-duty commercial drone applications.
